I am always looking for new skincare products that are gentle on my skin. I was very fortunate to have the Trefiel Anti-Ageing Lace Hydromask sent to me by the Trefiel team to try. As you probably know by now, I put my skin through the ringer with makeup and I love using masks to nourish and hydrate my skin. This mask was incredibly hydrating and a really relaxing experience too.
Review of the Trefiel Anti-Ageing Lace Hydromask
The sheet mask is individually packaged in a foil pouch with the Trefiel logo. The back of the packaging has information on the product claims and also instructions on how to use the mask. The mask itself is actually very stunning and unlike any other sheet masks that I have seen. It is a stunning lace patterned mask which is also separated into two halves. This enables you to choose which areas you want to target and also makes it easier to apply. It also gives you the option to overlap if you have a smaller face shape. The eyes are not completely perforated which also enables you to pop them over your eyes and relax.
A single mask is $9.95 AUD and shipping is free within Australia. They also offer multi-packs which work out to be cheaper. This is a pretty average price for a sheet mask. A similar mask I would purchase is the Karuna masks from Mecca Cosmetics which retail for $11 AUD. Also, considering the fact that a mask isn’t something that you would use every day but rather one or two times a month, the price is pretty reasonable.
This is a plant based mask, made from cruelty-free and GMO-free ingredients. Trefiel state that the ingredients within the mask all work together to fight the signs of ageing.
The key ingredients are;
- Hyaluronic Acid which helps with hydration
- Aloe Vera Extract which is very soothing and healing
- Vitamin E which is such an important skincare antioxidant that helps with repair
- Dipalmitoyl Hydroxyproline which is a natural amino acid that stimulates collagen synthesis, preventing elastin breakdown and inhibiting free radicals.
The mask is made out of a thick cellulose material and is soaked in the solution. Immediately when placed on your face, it is a very cooling and hydrating sensation. After around 20 minutes I started to feel my skin tightening. After removing the mask, there will still be some of the serum left on the skin however the skin actually absorbed this leftover solution. My skin felt really moisturised and really smooth. I also found that the dark areas under my eyes were plumper and any redness in my usual breakout areas was also gone.
Most importantly to note is that the next morning I felt as though my makeup applied really nicely and that is a HUGE plus in my book!
I am really impressed with the quality and the results of this mask. I will be ordering a few more because of the results and also as my mum caught me wearing it and got very jealous!
